Each of the kids are getting one big thing for christmas and a bunch of small stuff. My issue is this, I don't know what big thing to get my daughter. The other day we were in the christmas section at wal mart and she saw multi colored lights and said they matched her room colors (they do) then she pointed out a bunch of ornaments that are peace signs and butterflies (also match her room) and said she wanted them and some lights to decorate with. So my thought on her big gift is a big box of that kind of stuff and a multi colored area rug. What do you ladies think? She is 8 btw

i think at that age she would be very excited for that kind of a gift.

Not really. But there isn't really anything she wants that would compare. She is much easier to please than they are.
