LEFTY MOMS--Writing help for my child

What did you find useful when learning how to write growing up??

i had poor small muscle control, so nothing really helped, and back in the 70's things were different with teaching kids how to write

I not really sure how to answer... you learn to write like everyone else... using one hand or the other doesn't change that. you hold the pencil the same. 

the only major difference is some lefty's have to turn their paper sideways.

My teacher out that plastic piece on my pencil so I would put my fingers in the right place.

I didn't do anything. I just used my left hand. 

The only that sucks is getting pencil and pen marks all over your hand and the smearing. Oh and the spiral notebooks. I hated those so much! eh, life goes on. I adapted.
