I'm going a cookie exchange today...it's my first one (can you tell by my title? Lol).

I know I'm supposed to divide the cookies among how many will be there...supposed to be 8 total, including me. Does that mean I plate up 8 plates of cookies? Or 7?

LOL! No wonder I need help, then! I'm horrible at math and story problems always made me go "huh?"

If its 8 total women I'd bring 7 plates of cookies. If you wanted some of your own cookies you can simply keep them at home.

When I did a cookie exchange at work with daycare kids I told each kid to bring in a dozen cookies. I then got out enough ziplock bags for each kid & divided the cookies evenly. Any extras were either shared with other classes or sent home with the child that brought them.

I know that wasn't much help but at least it was something! LOL

When I've done cookie exchanges I just bring my cookies in a big container, add diss everyone else. Then they were divided and everyone put the cooks they were taking home into their own container.
