Physical Therapy Question

I'm doing PT 3 times a week (had a car accident a few weeks ago) and it feels wonderful while I'm doing it. When it's over I hurt and I told my physical therapist this. He recommended stretching exercises to do at home, in addition to warm moist heat when I'm home.

Has anyone experienced hurting after PT?

Yes, some aching after PT is normal.  But if there is a lot of pain your physical therapist should ease your routine a bit then you can build back up to it over some time.

Yes, and he always told me to plan to take my meds after i got done PT.

and DO YOUR HOMEWORK the more homework you do - the quicker you heal.

(homework = stretches etc)

Thanks ladies! I took the Ibuprofen 800 mg they prescribed, and I seem to feel a little better. That's funny you said that Foo, my therapist said you must do your exercises your posture is horrible!
