Which plan did you choose? Do you like it? I have a choice between Amerigroup and Health Plan of Nevada. Not sure which way to go. Thanks

I don't live in Nevada, but I am on Medicaid Amerigroup. It sucks, lol.

I got it after she had already had most of her vaccines for her first year and I've only been to well checks using Medicade. But I guess it is good, I was able to keep the same pedi when at first they tried to send me across town. I didn't know i was even eligible for Medicaid for almost her fist year. I'm sure it would have helped so much.

The list if doctor's you can have is very limited because no one likes to carry any branch of Medicaid, a lot of Medicaid medications get dropped, they don't carry very much in the first place.. Etc.

I'm in CA, not NV, and our state had us choose plans last year.  I have multiple medical issues, so good coverage is vital.  I just recommend reading everything you can about each plan and comparing the coverage for each to your needs.  Particularly if you have chronic medical problems, make sure the plan you choose has specialists in the right areas and covers what you need.  My choice was fairly easy because one plan covered almost nothing, whereas the other plan was nearly complete coverage.
