Do you wear shoes in your house? I was wondering if you don't and just take them off at the door does that make a significant difference in the dirt and grass etc that makes its way on your floor? I'm starting to wonder if I should switch to no shoes inside to save on having to clean so hard I wonder how the floors get so dirty so quickly.

We don't wear shoes in the house but we don't make guests take theirs off.

We don't wear shoes in the house but we have 2 indoor/outdoor dogs so probably no real difference on the amount of dirt.

I don't know if it matters. No we don't normally wear shoes inside (dh does sometimes). I don't like wearing shoes in others' homes either. I am always concerned with what I am tracking in on their floors.

I have all laminate hardwood floor. With big rugs. So for me it doesn't matter either way. Since sometimes when I am doing my errands and come home I wont automatically take them off. I do as respect to other's homes when I visit.

We don't wear shoes, in the house. We dont' make others take them off.  I'm sure it does cut down on the dirt, but none of us really like wearing shoes so that's why we don't wear them

We do shoes but if it is wet outside we try to keep the shoes near front door and especially after we shampoo carpet.

The kids and I don't wear shoes in the house but DH does so i don't make guests take them off either. It makes a huge difference I can always tell where DH has been. It annoys me but its a pick my battles kind of thing.
