My brother has some pretty serious warrants. The cops have been looking for him but he is on the run. The darn cops keep coming to my door at all hours of the night. My hubby called me last night because the stopped by at 3:30 AM!!! Hubby's friends car was in the drive so I don't know if that is the reason. They wanted to search the house but, I told them hell no over the phone I have a sleeping 2 year old and didnt want to have a grouchy kid in the am. They were insistent but finally gave up. Then they came back right in the middle of nap time today (my only time to sleep all day)! Ugh! I told them if they wanted to wait outside my house till my son woke up they can look thru my house with me but I had no clue when that was going to be because sometimes he sleeps for over 2 hours (he just fell asleep maybe 15 min before they came). Can I do anything about this? I want to file a harassment complaint or something.

Next time they come by wanting to search your house tell them not unless they have a warrant which I highly doubt a judge would grant one for this

Do they have a warrant? Do they think your brother is hiding in your pantry drawer? I'd tell them they can briefly glance through your house to find your BROTHER but they need a warrant of some crime against you before they toss your house.

All I know is he supposedly is no longer in the state and that is hear say from family. But no I don't know where he truly is

If they know how to be quiet about it, then i would let them in and say they could only peek in your sons room since he is sleeping.
