Why did you have a c-section?

I had one cause my DD was breech and stayed that way my whole pregnancy. They would have had to break her hips if I tried to have her vaginally.

Aww same here. Ds pooped and then heart rate dropped to the 20s so I was rushed for a csection.

I can't imagine how scary that would be.

I had an injury to my my vagina with my second daughter. 200+ stitches later I had my son. I could not pass him after the surgery.

Yep. Broke my water and dosed me up on PIT.

There are other ways to progress labor. She didn't offer anything.
She took advantage of my trust in her.

Nothing needed speeding up. She just wanted to go home.

Quoting nikki111125:

How did she try to rush it? With medicine?

Quoting ToriBabe1221:

Because my medwife tried to rush my labor. My baby didn't like that much, and went into distress.

Basically, one intervention led to another and voila ... CSECTION.

Ugh.

Thankfully, i was able to VBAC.

With oldest DD (and second baby) she was transverse the entire pregnancy and I went into labor at 24 weeks...it was stopped. At 33 weeks I went in to see about turning her and had an NST and ultrasound and it was found that she was in distress, her placenta was prematurely deteriorating, and I had a fluid leak, so I had her that day by emergency c-section. I had a VBAC with middle DD.

I had an attempted VBAC with youngest DD, but ended up with a uterine tear and a placental abruption, so she was also an emergency c-section.

Oh okay sorry I never seen a post about it. Ty for still answering

Quoting Supervane:

I think this question does get asked often.

I had one because I was in labor for 14 hours, 4 hours of pushing. Baby got stuck after crowning

I was induced, was in labor for 8hrs, doc came in and said c-section because i had only dilated 3cm. While doing my c-section he found that I am too narrow from front to back and unless I have a child under 5lbs, I am unable to deliver naturally.

DS would have died in a vaginal birth. That's the cold, hard truth.
