I had one cause my DD was breech and stayed that way my whole pregnancy. They would have had to break her hips if I tried to have her vaginally.
Quoting mamalusbear:I had one because at 42 wks preggo and after 4 days of labor (i was induced) DS started to get stressed out in there so I had an emergency c-section.
Quoting nikki111125:
OMG did that hurt real bad when the head wad stuck? I know my sons shoulders got stuck and hurt bad.
Quoting LoveMyKBabies:
1st baby was natural. 2nd baby had a big head & couldn't get his head all the way through & got stuck lol. Babies 3 & 4 were repeats because my hospital refuses VBAC's.
Quoting nikki111125:
Sorry I meant perfect as in he is healthy. That it didn't turn into major health problems. Sorry I wasn't dismissing the struggles I'm sure there was.
Quoting mom2ljh:
I'm not sure it was perfect, lol. He had a very difficult infancy, likely due, in part, to his prematurity, but things have gone well once we made it past about 2. He is my super awesome buddy; always has been but especially now. :-)
Quoting nikki111125:
Wow I am so happy everything worked out perfect.
Quoting mom2ljh:
It's ok. He's 5 1/2 now and as healthy and smart as can be. I think back to those moments, deciding what to do, whether to deliver him prematurely, etc. and I am thankful we made the choices we did. We have a wonderful, amazing child because of those choices. Without those choices, we would have had a funeral.
Quoting nikki111125:
Oh wow that is a frightening thought.
Quoting mom2ljh:
DS would have died in a vaginal birth. That's the cold, hard truth.
Just naturally HUGE I mean he is 27 now and its still way bigger than everyone elses but luckily no problems
Quoting nikki111125:
Did they find out why? Is it just naturally big?
Quoting erinsmom1964:1st child was actually stuck in my pelvis and sunny side up. His head is so big at 8 he had to have an adult sized helmet for football. His head is off the charts and when he was younger they did many tests worried about why it was so big.....then 2 vbacs and then my 4th was because of severe pre-e
Quoting LoveMyKBabies:
I honestly don't remember, which is funny because labor progressed so fast I didn't have any drugs. I'm guessing it wasn't too bad though. I found out later if I had squatted, I probably could have had him. Pisses me off that the nurses waited until AFTER my c-section to suggest that one. I would have had no c-sections. Babies 3 & 4 were both smaller than my only vaginal delivery :/

Quoting Supervane:
I think this question does get asked often.
I had one because I was in labor for 14 hours, 4 hours of pushing. Baby got stuck after crowning
Quoting jeniemarie:
i got preaclamsia. throwing up, blacking out, falling, the works so I had to be induced. 18hrs of potcin induced labor, water broke, and an epidural i wasnt dilatng and DD hadnt drop. each contraction was lowering her hb so my midwife got the doctor in for the cs at 350 am. I was 36wks 6days. my DS was a repeat bc our hospital dosent do VBACs :-(
Quoting nikki111125:
They took the easy route. For them anyway.
