Question: What do you feel a comfortable age difference between siblings are?
Total Votes: 187
As I was online last night, I came across a great question. What do you feel is a comfortable age difference between siblings? The most popular answer was 18 months to 2.5 years apart. In my opinion, I believe that the closer in age the children are the better, however, I was 9 years apart from my youngest brother and 8 years apart from my middle brother. So I never had the close in age sibling. I think that the age difference between us doesn't change anything, if anything it has helped me and my youngest brother. If he needs advice and doesn't feel comfortable talking to our parents, he will talk to me. I feel that it is best for him because he can still get an adult opinion without feeling embarrassed or feel that he is being judged. BTW, youngest brother is 14 and I am 23.
DF and I are TTC baby #2 and our children will be almost three years apart. :D
Between #2 and #3: 3 1/2 years
Between #3 and #4/#5 (twins): 4 1/2 years
However, if this baby bean stick then my DD will be a few months shy of 5 when the baby is born.
DD is 11 and we have been TTC #2 for a long time.
I had my 2 older kids with my 1st husband. They are 2 and half years apart. Then we divorced, and I met my current husband. We had our son when the two older ones were 9 and 6. They both thought it was pretty cool having a baby brother, and were (and always have been) a big help to me. When my daughter was born, like I said, my older son was 2 and half. A little young to do much, but he would get me diapers, wipes, such to help with his baby sister. All 3 of them are very close, they are now 28, 25, and 19.
Eta. Mine are 4 years apart.
