high efficiency washer

Can you use regular powder/liquid detergent in a high efficiency washer?
I have a friend who bought my laundry detergent but its not high efficiency andI need to wash clothes now.

No. but most detergents have the he symbol on the container if they are he safe.

I do. I make my own and it certainly isn't rated for HE washers.  Have done it for about a year without a single issue.

You MIGHT could try using half as much as it says and do an extra rinse. I know the he detergent is less suddsy and the washers are made to use less water so if you use regular stuff it will sud more and be harder to rinse.

Hey could you give me the recipe. I have 2 but don't know if they would be ok to use.

I cup of ea. oxi clean (I use generic), purex crystals, borax, arm & hammer washing soda, and 2 cups of Feliz Napis grated finely.

Use 2Tbls for ea. load

Supplies will last you months.
