I go to my 6 weeks postpartum check-up on Monday and I'm torn between the shot or an IUD. Which type of bc do you prefer and why?

I had mirena iud for 2 years and hated it. I had horrible side effects and I will never use any hormonal bc again. Sorry I know not much help. I have just been tracking my cycle and using condoms for the past 3 years and its been working great with no side effects.

i do the pill because the shot gave me a bad reaction, and i have heard too many stories from friendsabout the iud just falling out. overall of my family and friends like the shots. Id say if you do an iud avoid newva ring or whatever, i constantly see people say they got preggo on it.

I have an IUD. The paraguard. I like it cause it has no hormones in it which was great for bfing. And it lasts 10 years. I still have a monthly visit from Aunt Flow. While with I didn't.
