Why do you argue like it's a parenting style/choice?

Posted by   + Show Post

When it comes to car seat safety, why argue about what's safe or not? You are either doing it right, or you're doing it wrong. If you're wrong, you are NOT RIGHT. You CAN NOT argue that you're right. There are too many tests, and experts (techs) that have been educated for YOU to aruge that it's okay because some jim bob from what'cha'ma call it's fire station said it was good enough. GET A CLUE!!

And yes, I'm a tech.

PLEASE take a look at this if you're interested in admitting that you might be doing something wrong, and actually doing something about it.

If they make a post they are asking

Quoting Paperfishies:

*IF* they ask for you input...Your aren't any kind of officer of the law.  Know your place.

It's my job to make sure children are in car seats correctly.

If it is the post I am thinking of, they did ask.

If its the one I'm thinking she said she always heard not to, her Dr said it was ok, and asked what everyone else does.

Sure, if they specifically ask what they should do and are specifically asking for advice.

9 times out of 10, no one is asking people are just ranting.

1 mom liked this
Proper use isn't a choice its the law.

Some things are choice. Legality is not.

The difference is that your bit of advice may make someone "prettier", while her advice could save a life.

Only when THEY are paying you. I'm a hair stylist but i don't tell anyone their pony is on too tight.

you comparison is a bit off... this is more like if a doctor walked by and saw a person eating a triple cheese burger and  jumbo fries and walked up and told them that is going to kill you... how dare you eat that.what kind of idiot would dare eat like that knowing it will kill them... much better analogy, only because you are not talking about what is currently happening but what could possibly happen under certain circumstances.

Quoting JP-StrongForTwo:

a 'tight pony tail' isnt going to kill you is it?

but if a doctor walked by and saw someone fall to their knees grasping their arm in the precursor to a heart attack, would you expect the doctor to just keep walking by?
