Anyone else allergic to....*WARNING! owie pic in replies*

Adhesive? I'm allergic to latex as well. My skin and the adhesive become one in seconds and my skin just rips off. No band aids or medical tape for me! It just popped up in the last couple years.
I'm nervous about labor and delivery because I will need an IV. Anyone else have this?

I am allergic to adhesive, and so is my daughter. Mine didn't start until I was pregnant with her so I blame her. I end up like that if I put a band-aid on as well.

This use to happen when I put a band aid on my son so I now use medical tape and gauze when need be.

Have them use the compression wrap for what they can and write on your hand latex allergy. I have that happen too

I forgot to tell the nurse after she drew blood. That is from a lil ol band aid

You MUST inform them when you go in and watch them like a hawk. There is a special tape they can use but you must stay on them about it.

I'm allergic to latex as well. I have a reaction to most adhesives, and also some lubricants have the component from latex that I'm allergic to as well. It sucks. :-/

You don't need an iv during labor.... that's a choice. I didn't know it with my first two. With my last I didn't have one
