when you sell food stamps what is the rate of exchange?

example: 1 friend I have sells them for face value 100 in food stamps is 100 in grocery

2nd friend sells them for 1/2 face value 100 in food stamps for 50 bucks

I don't understand how anyone would have enough food stamp $ left over to sell. I receive the full amount for my children and myself, and still spend extra out of my own pocket every month. Sounds like if someone has enough to sell they don't need them in the first place.

I know that there are cases like pp mentioned, but before ours went on cards here, I know a lady who would buy fs from this girl. The girl was a single mom who was a severe alcoholic. She used the money for booze. The baby's dad eventually got custody. The lady I knew just liked to double her money. I would have been worried for that baby! No food and a drunk mother...smh...

If you are buying $100 worth of fs for $50? Double your grocery money, that's why!

This, obviously.  Just call and check what the normal exchange is.

There is NO reason why someone needs to sell foodstamps if you cannot buy your shit on what they give you then you are buying too much other shit you don't need. Bottom Line!!!!
