I'm curious if its a regional or just a familial difference? I was raised in California to call her mom but my mother was raised by southern born parents to call her mama. I'm raising ds in Tennessee and he says mama (and yes ma'am but dh put his foot down about ds saying y'all). So what about y'all? And why do you think?

I'm in Philadelphia and I am Mom. Personally I hate Mama. Sometimes DD calls me Mama and I just cringe.

My 10 yr old still calls me "Mommy." :)

My 12 yr old calls me "Mom" or "Mother" (if she's annoyed lol)

I call my Mom "Mom" or "Momma" … and we all say "Ya'll" ;)

I just thought of something lol ds never calls me mommy. Maybe cuz since he was born I've always referred to myself as mama?

Mine say mumma or mommy. My oldest is the only one allowed to call me mom! LOL yes, Allowed! I don't want them to grow up and calling me mom made me feel old!
