Yes! We have hardwood, tile and marble floors with just a few throw rugs as well. We also have a lab (who sheds A LOT and a cat and the shark does great with the pet hair. I love that it comes apart so that I can easily do my stairs and the attachments allow me to get into small spaces and do my walls, ceiling fans and blinds. LOVE it!

I've Been wanting one badly...is it good for hardwoods? I only have laminate and hardwood in my house with a few area rugs. My kenmore canister is on its way out

I love my dyson.  I have the floor one that pulls behind you and it works great. My step mom had the upright and loves hers too. Best money I have spent
