ds's glans in his neck swelled up last night, and they have just gotten bigger and harder as the day went on today. he has an appointment at his pedi's tomorrow after noon. but what could it be? he has no other symptoms just swollen painful glans.

Lots of things, strep throat and tonsilitisis both pop to mind. It may also be an allergic reaction to something. Just try to keep him comfortable until the appointment tomorrow.

My DS had that. His was swollen lymph nodes. Only other symptom he has a lil bit of a runny nose. But that was it. He was put on antibiotic and sent home.

There are many reasons for glands to swell everything from strep throat, to mumps. I had my glands in my throat swell and my throat itself swelled almost closed turned out it was a damn virus.

He's been vacinated for mumps.

It could just simply be inflammation of the lymph node.
