anyone a sonographer?

 A friend of mine has been told that numbers on the edge of her sonogram picture reveals a sonographers predictions about a baby's gender. She does not believe what she has been told but it has sparked a conversation about what the numbers mean. They are numbers to the left of the picture and are not next to any headings. The numbers (and letters) are:

12 fps

And to the right...

 oh - it was the 6c1 number specifically. I have found it on all 3 of my childrens 20 week scans - at which I was told one was a boy and one was a girl (we kept the last one a surprise).

12 fps means 12 frames per second frequency at which the machine captures images.

2DG is 2D grain lower the number darker the picture.

if u have a pic from a different angle i might be able to tell u if its a boy or girl but those markings are usually what calibration they are using and measurements and codes for specific shots for measurement purposes.

Brill - thanks! I'm in the UK and google gave some info but couldn't get the 6c1 and this is the one that was suggested that gave the gender prediction. We both thought she was given dodgy info but wanted to know what they did mean!
