A friend of mine has been told that numbers on the edge of her sonogram picture reveals a sonographers predictions about a baby's gender. She does not believe what she has been told but it has sparked a conversation about what the numbers mean. They are numbers to the left of the picture and are not next to any headings. The numbers (and letters) are:
6c1
T5.0
12 fps
And to the right...
2DG
78
DR 79

googling suggests that these are machine settings,
oh - it was the 6c1 number specifically. I have found it on all 3 of my childrens 20 week scans - at which I was told one was a boy and one was a girl (we kept the last one a surprise).
12 fps means 12 frames per second frequency at which the machine captures images.
PS not a sonographer just googling the numbers one by one lol.
6C1 HD transducer to offer improved image resolution ... for user interaction and the number of keystrokes during the imaging process.
