For those with 5 year olds...*Edit*

What's the best learning toy they have? I'm thinking about getting an InnoTab 2. Is it worth the money?

*EDIT* Let me clear this up... It's for my daughter's birthday. She has blocks, books and of course, me, to help her learn things. She's a very smart girl and I would like to get her something special.

My son uses an iPod touch with educational apps. He's learned a ton from them.

$200. :(

Quoting MADMomma1975a:

Look on Best Buy or Walmart - I got ours for 129 right after thanksgiving.

Quoting shaunaleigh418:

It was $211. :(

Quoting bebe_ju-rah:

I paid $200 at GameStop at Christmastime. I haven't checked the prices since, I'd imagine they'll drop since its not season.

Quoting shaunaleigh418:

Just checked it out on Amazon and WOW that's expensive! Lol.

Quoting bebe_ju-rah:

Nabi 2

She's doing excellent with her reading now BC of the preloaded books and learning apps.

I would say yes... she's one smart cookie, too.

Quoting shaunaleigh418:

I think that's what I'm leaning towards. It's cheaper than the Leap pad also lol. Does it challenge her?

Quoting TatorsMommy2205:

My neice is 4, and she loves her Innotab! I think it's age appropriate for most elementary aged children.

Dd has the innotab, mobigo, and nabi 2. Her favorite is the nabi 2. We have lots of learning games on it.

I have no idea since my 5 year doesn't have anything like that. She does have a play cash register with play money, to help with math, money and counting and a ton of books, flash cards and a clock.

both my 5 year old and my three year old both have a leap pad and really enjoy them.  They are easy to use and there are tons of apps for them

We don't buy learning toys. They're a waste of money. We spend money on travel instead.
