Does anyone know marks on ring bands?

If so what does this one mean?? Its a 3'

Its on my engagement ring. If you flip the ring it says 14K on the band on the other side. I know that means the karat of gold, but I can't think of what a 3' would mean. I asked the jeweler, but the lady I asked had no idea. Its a single solitaire diamond ring from Shaws jewlers

3' = 3 karat diamond???

I just read on google that some jewelery stamp rings with the diamond weight (.50, example) so maybe the 3 does mean 3 karats?
