i was just on the phone with my best friend, and i told her that my son may have an ear infection, so i might need to go to the ER. (my dr isnt opened today) SHE told me that her grandma told her that if you put one drop of PEE in his ears then that will CURE IT?!  she said she does it with her kids all the time, and every time she goes to the dr. a couple of days later for a check up they are always gone!! CAN U BELIEVE THAT? that sounds so gross to me! lol, so of course, I get online and look it up and it turns out to be TRUE!!  its called "urine therapy" Holy crap! All the home remedies that mothers did back in the day before all these drugs were available NEVER cease to amaze me! lol

Like me and need to see it yourself? lol here is a link

That's actually kinda gross.  But if it works, go for it I guess.  My doctor told me to put a capful of hydrogen proxide and a capful a water in a cup, mix it and then put one to two drops into my sons ears.  That works too if you don't want to do the whole peeing thing!  Hope your son feels better soon!

Yeah I have heard the same thing.  It will also get rid of pink I.  You just put the urine in your eye and it will get rid of it.  I was told by a friend at work.  About both of these.   Never tried it though.  I have never had pink eye and I dont think I could put urine in my kids earf  LOL

Hmm...interesting. I don't think I could do it though, Are you going to try it? By the way, instead of heading to the ER on a weekend during Flu season, just pick up a bottle of Similason's ear ache relief and pump some ibuprofen (motrin) in him until the Dr's office reopens. It's what I have done in between open office days. Although my kids Dr and well, mine too, are open on Saturdays until noon and even then, because I live in the Atlanta area, we have Children's Healthcare of Atlanta centers open 7 days a week for non emergency medical situations like this.

I dont think i am goign to try it though, only because i dont KNOW for sure if he has one. If i took him to maybe an urgent care center and they confirmed it, then maybe. lol but thank you so much for the tip about the similason and motrin!

Never heard of pee... but I DO use Onion juice... you put thin slices of onion on a plate, microwave it until it starts to "sweat"... and then squeeze the juice out. Put a couple of drops in the affected ear twice a day, and it will feel much better, and will cure it in 3 days. You can also BUY onion juice, (garlic oil works too) from the health food store, comes in a neat little dropper bottle. It feels better if it's warm when it goes in.
