Would you say my baby is overweight? *pic*

My baby is now 7 months old. She weighs 22 pounds. We have already had to buy a new car seat because she outgrew her infant carrier seat. She is wearing size 9 and 12 month clothes.

Here she is:

She is a very happy, healthy and incredibly active baby. She does not overeat - we actually have a hard time getting her to eat sometimes. Whether it's baby food or bottles, she quite often doesn't finish a "meal".

I measured large throughout my entire pregnancy with her. She was 9 pounds at birth. And during her well child check-ups from birth to now, she has always measured in the 90th percentile, so her growth is consistent.

I am a small person, but her father is 6'4" and 250 pounds. His entire family are BIG people.

So would you say she's overweight, or just big for her age?

Thank you all for your wonderful replies! And all your compliments to my little cutie are greatly appreciated. In all honesty, I did not make this post because I was concerned about her weight. I think she's perfect, and her doctor has never voiced any concern. I just wanted to see what the CM fanatics would say, since it is all too common for women on here to bash mothers who have children that are on the bigger side.

I do not think she is fat. I think she is absolutely perfect in every way. I appreciate her adorable chubbiness and I'm sure I'll miss it when it's gone. :) And in the meantime, I'll continue to squeeze, tickle and snuggle this chubby little stinker as much as possible. And for those of you who asked - no. You can't have her!! She's all mine! lol

She looks chubby (those are the cutest babies!) but many kids do at that age.

I can't imagine anyone using the term overweight for a baby.  She is adorable!  I so want to kiss those cheeks!

I think babies are supposed to be chunky. I would much rather have a bigger baby than a skinny little one. I get so paranoid about babies not eating enough. My youngest turned 2 on Friday and she weighs 28 lbs. She is finally starting to slim down as she gets taller.

I kiss them every chance I get! :) I think she's perfect the way she is, but with all the CM craziness about overweight children, I was curious what everyone would say about her. I've gotten lots of negative comments on here when I've mentioned her weight compared to her age.

If your doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't be either. My husband's family is tall so both my babies grew fast as well. My son is 3 weighs 38lbs almost 38 inches. My DD is almost 2. She is 29 inches and 25lbs.

I'm always worried about her eating too much! But her pediatrician assures me that he will tell me if he ever thinks her weight is out of hand. My first child has always been a skinny little string bean, so this is all new territory for me.

what a cutie! if the doctor is happy with her development, i wouldn't worry. you may have to monitor her weight when she gets older.
