Would you send her back?

DD has been sick since Saturday with a cough, snotty nose, and fever. I took her to the doctor yesterday after 3 days of a fever. The doctor said she had pneumonia, prescribed an antibiotic, and told me she couldn't go back to daycare until she is 24 hours fever free. Well her fever broke some time before last night and this morning. She still has the cough and snotty nose. Now mind you, I've been off work because of this and when I'm off work I do not get paid. Technically she can go back to daycare tomorrow because of being fever free for 24 hours, and it will be her third day on antibiotics. I am honestly on the fence about sending her back tomorrow. What would you ladies do?

I'd send her in with a thermometer with instructions to check once an hour.

Also depends on how she feels.

How often are the antibiotics needed to be taken and is the daycare prepared for giving her addictional medical treatment like monitoring fevers and giving medications.

Sounds to me she is ready to go back. You are the only one who can make that though.

How uncomfortable will she be in a daycare enviroment with her nose and cough?

She may not be contageous but is she going to need regular nose wipes and comforting during a coughing fit?

If so keep her home, if you think she'll do fine. send her

As long as she doesn't have a fever, isn't contagious, is able to do normal day activities without feeling ill and needing to lie down, I would send her.

You expect the daycare provider to check her temperature every hour that isn't very realistic.
