Cloth diaper help please

I am looking into all the new types of cloth diapers since its been awhile & there are so many new types.  I want the kind that fit all size babies so they will grow with my twins.  I found a lady selling some fluffy bums for $15/each & some happy flute for the same price.  Is this a good deal & are those good diapers?  Any suggestions are other diapers would be great too.

I use bum genius, too.  I love them.  The only thing with the velcro is that it wears out about a year in.  my DH thought velcro would be easier, I wanted all snaps.  We compromised on 50/50 and now that our son is almost 2, we're definitely wishing we'd bought almost all snaps.  They don't hold and you can't use overalls or anything, you need to use pants with a waistband after about a year.  The other thing i would say is that you have to make sure your onsies are on the bigger side, otherwise , because the dipes are bigger than disposable, the onsies are tighter, and the pee will seep into the sides of it easier.  hope that helps!  Good for you for doing cloth!  Best choice I made regarding diapers. :)

1 mom liked this

There's also a forum here called Cuties with cloth booties here on CM and there are a lot of ladies who make their own.  They have great advice, too.

I use Flips covers and prefolds. They are my go to usually. I also have a couple Alva diapers, which are china diapers that are really inexpensive and work well. I'm learning to make them also. Cuties with Coth Booties group helped me a lot.

The snaps.  The hook and loop ones looked flimsy.

My husband is still baffled by them.  He acts like he's being forced to solve a Rubik's cube every time he has to assemble one.  But they're actually super simple to deal with, he's just a spaz.

I was going to suggest that group too. They are an amazing wealth of information.
