Party food question

DD's 6th birthday party is this Sunday at the gym where she does gymnastics from 1:30-3. The first hour the kids will have free range in the gym, the last 1/2 hr will be cake and presents. The parents can either be in the gym with the kids or in the viewing room (like a fishbowl where they can watch from). Since it's not lunch time and the kids are going to be running around anyway, I was only going to serve light finger foods for the parents to nibble on while the kids play. I'm thinking a veggie platter and some chips and dip...or maybe a fruit platter with chips and dip. Thoughts? Should I have more? I didn't mention serving any food on the invites, fyi.

Ohh and we are expecting 15 kids.

I think a veggie platter with chips and dip is perfect.

I like the veggies and chips and dip idea.  That's what we do.  Our parties are after lunch time, but way before dinner time, so, we do veggies and/or fruit and some chips and drinks.

Yea, at first I was going to do fruit (BC they are in sale lol) but after I thought about it, adults prefer veggies, I think plus we will have cake and I didn't want all sweets, kwim?

I'd to the veggie tray and chips and dip.  Don't forget something to drink too.

Cake and if they want to snack on the veggies or whatnot. I assume that will be in the gym the whole hour, not sitting in the other room eating.

Of course :)

Juicy Juice boxes, waters and sodas will be available for everyone
