Has been complaining about pain in her left nipple for about 2 weeks. At first I thought it was just dry skin. But know I can feel a little lump right under that is not on the other nipple. ( about the size of a quarter under the entire nipple/ aureola)

Amy ideas what it could be??? I'm taking her to DR Monday.

I had an infection when I was little. They gave me antibiotics and I was right as rain within days. It was hard and painful until they kicked in. Maybe that's what it is.

I don't remember having breast pain at puberty. But it's been a while, so idk.

(Even though it's just one side?)

I know I'm kinda worried. But I tell her it's nothing (which I'm hoping).
I'll update. Thanks

It can be a bacterial or fungal infection. It could also be a cyst. It's not incredibly uncommon, and most times, it's fixed with a few days of medication.

Lots of glands in that area, could just be a simple infection. Could also be an infection somewhere else in her body but her lymph nodes in her breast are acting in defense. I have an issue with my lymph node behind my right ear anytime I get an infection. It swells and it hurts. But that's why we have lymph nodes...so its a good thing.

I wouldn't worry too much, just go see what the Dr says.
