We are trying to get rid of the pacifier cold turkey. She is just 13 months but has went the whole day so we will see how it going tonight.

She has been crying now for 20 min. Do we give it to her or just wait it out

Neither of my children would take a paci, so I can't offer too much advice. However, I can tell you what my friend did with her children. Each day, she would cut a little bit of the nipple off. Eventually, there was nothing left to suck on, but it was a great idea b/c it's a gradual process.

I've never been for taking away a child's comfort object at bedtime. My boys gave theirs up voluntarily around 3. It was bedtime and owies only after 1.
