Do you allow unbuckled adults in your car?

Posted by   + Show Post

The other thread got me wondering....

I know that most of us make sure our children are buckled up in the car....but what about other adults riding with you?  Do you insist that adults riding in your car buckle up?  (I'm talking about in YOUR car/when you are driving....not when you are a passenger in THEIR car.)

If anyone rides with me they have to be buckled. My bil never buckles up when in the truck. It scares the crap out of me but I don't drive when he is in the truck my husband does.

Have never asked.  I just assume adults buckle up, I guess, we always do.

I dont buckle up in a car I got stuck in one when i was really young and left there for hours before someone realized I was not in the house with them. Its a silly fear but I cant get over it

My car does not get put into drive unless everyone is buckled. My ambulance doesn't get put into drive unless everyone is buckled either.

Everyone buckles up without my asking. But if someone were to not wear one I would insist. I don't want someone's unrestrained body becoming a projectile in my car.

You know that if you get into an accident these unbuckled people become a projectile in the car and can bounce around? People bouncing around hitting other people normally kill the other people in the car.
I have seen this first hand. It's not pretty.
