And I'm concerned. I purchased my house 3 years ago through a loan from US Rural Development - could I lose my home because of these cuts?

No I would not think so, as long as your payments are current

I've been paying a month in advance ever since my first payment, so I'm not behind at all. I just really don't want to lose my house - I worked hard to buy it and I've been a very responsible homeowner.

Then I would not worry about it.. Besides not paying your property taxes, then that would be one of the only reasons..

Oh, ok. My taxes are part of my mortgage; it all goes into an escrow account and gets divided from there. So I'm caught up on taxes too. :)

Thank you...I feel so much better!
