My husband and I are trying our best to keep our 15 yr old focused more on school
Than sports, this kid thinks about sports while he's eating, doing homework, when he goes to the store he can't go without the basketball after school he has to play basketball everyday. On weekends has to play football or rugby. How can I keep him focused? he graduates this year . Thanks

Instead of keeping him from sports encourage him and teach him how to find a balance between academics and his hobby of sports.

Yeah he seems to think football scholarships are easy to get, I constantly let him know grades play a big part you have to earn it

Let him know you are glad he is interested in sports,
School comes first, home work too then he can do sports after ;)

What are his grades like?
My HS Junior is extremely talented in football. Football has requirements for grades. If he doesn't make the grades, he doesn't get to play.

He's graduating high school at 15?
That's freshman/sophomore age here.

I don't see it as a problem. He's 15 and graduating so it seems like he has a handle on his schoolwork. DS is like this too...being that involved/interested in sports should keep him out of trouble as there are worse things he can be interested in.
He can use his love for sports IRL...he can get into the business side. DH's cousin just got a full scholarship to college for baseball (and he's a 4.0 student) and his goal is not to be a pro player but involved in team management.
