Daylight Savings Time. Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who despises daylight savings time?

I woke up, fed my little girl, made breakfast for my son, washed the dishes, got them both cleaned up and dressed and sat down with a cup of coffee.  I was feeling pretty good about myself for getting all of that stuff done by 7:30 in the morning.  Then I looked at the clock on my computer and realized that it was 8:30.

Now I don't feel like doing a damn thing for the rest of the day because no matter what I do today, I'll be an hour behind.

I don't like it either.  It really messes my kids' sleep patterns.

Nope.  I hate it.  I think it is stupid.  You can change a clock however you want.  It will not change the amount of hours in a day.

It's not about changing the hours though. The whole point is to match the rate of sunset and sunrise with the speed of earth's tilt/ rotation. It's not really stupid. You don't want to be sending your kids to bed when the sun is still shining (unless its in the afternoon). The earliest my son is in bed is 7:30, but we'll probably move it to 8:30 now because here it will still be daylight at that time. I remember it being 7:30 and still daylight and me and my friends were out until 4 when they sun started to rise.

I personally like dst because it means I will only be up for 10 hours as opposed to 11 lol.

I believe it originally to help farmers have more time...maybe reasonable time, to work on crops. Now they have lights, heaters, cup holders, etc. so it's a bit pointless.

I enjoy the later sunset, but the first week is tough.
