There once was a mom who ran all over the place

she wanted to rest to have a smile on her face

All she wanted was to take a break

So she took a picnic lunch and ate by the lake.

There once was a man from Nantucket,
Who was poaching fish near Pawtucket,
He found himself wishing,
to spend his life fishing,
And wound up in his minnow bucket.

There once was a cat named Spice

Who really wasn't very nice

She would slap you with her paw

Thankfully without any claws

She is so funny, that we should charge an admission price.

There once was a poet named Dan,
Who's poetry never would scan.
When told this was so,
He said, "Yes, I know"
"It's because I try to put every possible syllable into the very last line that I can" .

Who wished for peace and calm
But on this Saturday
While She wished for quiet play
The houseful of kids
Seemed to have flipped their lids

Who dreamt he was eating his shoe.
He awoke in a fright
In the middle of the night
And found it was perfectly true.”
