Whats wrong with my dog? UPDATED

This morning. He started puking. Then I looked at him. His face is swollen. Welts around his eyes, lips are swollen stiff, welts randomly on his body. I think its itchy, he's panting. I gave him a benedryl and washed his face with cool water.
Vet doesnt open for another hour.
Ideas?

*Update*
Vet thinks it's an insect bite. He gave him a steroid shot and more tablets to take daily. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Thats what I'm thinking. Nothing in puke but mucous and foam.

Could he have been stung by a bee? I ask mainly because I found a wasp in my kitchen this morning and before I could get something to kill it my dog ate the dang thing.

Give him some benadryl. My lab had an allergic reaction. You'll need to look up the appropriate dosage based on his body weight.

Yeah hes an 85 pounder so he gets a whole one. No obvious bites. Started at 5:30 this morn. Still dark. Usually too early for bees etc but i wouldnt rule it out....no yelping or obvioys distress when he came in. He wasn't wet. No powder or dust or things in his fur. No obvious smell other than dog smell and his breath ... arg
