How old was your son when he got potty trained?

So my son is 3.5 years old and isn't potty trained. Is this normal?? Any suggestions? I'm affraid he can't get into school if he's not potty trained..

18 months, he did it on his own. shocked the hell out of me.

IMO, i think 3.5 is a little too old to not be potty trained.

3.5 He's 4 and no accidents since. Some take longer than others. Boys take longer. But I didn't push. It just clicked one day. I tried off and on from 20 months

Both of my boys were fully potty trained by their 2nd birthday.

my son was fully potty trained by 2...i started around 18 months and kept having to stop and then i'd try again a few weeks later. finally he got it with a potty chart and it only took a few days.

does your son have any developemental issues? i know that can cause it to take longer

He trained at three and a half. And yes most schools do want them potty trained before they let them in.

DS1 was 3.5 and DS2 was 2.

I know a boy that isn't potty trained at that age but TBH I think he is a little off mentally. My brother was potty trained by 1 1/2-2 give or take a few months.
