homeschool help! HELP

We are moving from GA to CO this week due to my husbands job.

I dont want to put my son into a new school so late in the year for such a small amount of time. I would like to homeschool him for the remainder of the year and have him go to public school next year, and by I I mean a tutor would teach him.

I am not sure where to start, what school do I contact? Both? Help please!

you need to contact your school district and see what they have set up for homeschooling program.

I would contact the school district you will be moving to and check the state laws of the state you are moving to.  You also might want to post this in Homeschooling Moms.

Don't contact the school district. Most times they will give you the wrong information. Look up the laws or join a home-schooling group on here.

This!

...And there are many great program available almost anywhere. In my small town we have three different home school groups. A few great curriculums are 1) Switched on Schoolhouse, 2.) A.C.E, 3.)Math-U-See (which is just math). My mother has been using Switched on Schoolhouse for my my younger siblings for a few years now and loves it. It's easy for them to use, files all their work and even grades it for her. It's a computer program. It has helped my siblings because instead of reading it from a book only they have visuals.
