What age is okay for a child to still be on a binky, pacifer.. whatever you want to call it?.. I hate seeing kids over 2 with those things in their mouth.

I never introduced anything like that to my boys, so I have no clue at what age they should stop or how.

I stopped at around 1 year for both of my boys (and actually it was only allowed at nap/bedtime from around 10 months on).  I think it is pathetic when I see toddlers much older than that with a paci.

i took all binkies, paci's, etc away pretty close to 4 months because i think they're gross.  However, I am not bothered by someone else's toddler continuing to use them.

I would say if they are taking it out to talk then it's time for it to go away.

all the pacifiers disapear around six months. My youngest however never had any interest in a paci. But she sucks her thumb and has since birth. shes only ten months old now but I worry about how hard it might be to get her to stop.

Usually by 1yr. But I've seen kid's older than 2. I've seen kid's as old as 10. It's a choice between letting them have it because they screaming tantrums, and ruining their teeth. Which is y 1yr old or when their teeth come in.
