What age do you feel a child can go to an overnight week long sports camp. How young is to young and why. Not close to where you live. How do you know if your child is ready for an overnight cAmp

My nephew was 7 when he went over night with his boy scout troop... they weren't camping though.

I think it depends on the kid and the adults who will be there also on what exactly will be going on during this overnight camp.

Maybe 7 or 8. would be good if they had siblings or friends going...

My youngest son went at 8 for a week at a time with weekends back home. The older kids had no desire when they were younger-they all went to daycamps.

My oldest daughter at 13 went to Japan for 4 weeks with her school for a homestay/study program.
