My 3mnth old DD aspirates whens she eats and had to get a feeding tube
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took to correct?? I was told by the Dr. that it is common for babies to aspirate when they eat but normally they can thincken the formula and it helps. Our dd had a swallow study done and thickening her food didn't help. She got a G-tube put in her stomach last week. She is doing ALOT better now. We go back in the beginning of June for another swallow study. The dr. said it could take 1mnth, 6mnths or up to 2yrs before she learns to swallow correctly and that all babies are different. I was just wanting to hear other experiences with this issue. Thanks!
