Ok so my 18 month old niece has had some sleep issues lately. It's been going on since she turned 1 where she hardly sleeps or wakes up all night long. They did a Epilepsy/sleep study and everything came out fine. But she is still not sleeping, therefore she is becoming violent. I told SIL about checking her melatonin level(someone here advice me on that) well the ped told my SIL that she didn't know what kind of test that was. I'm like Wtf.

I'm a lab assistant (draw blood) and I've never heard of a test for Melatonin.

My DD has insomnia issues, comes along with her Celiac Disease. We just give her melatonin when she needs it and it works wonders for her.

They can't test for melatonin.... You can take a melatonin supplement however. Doesn't require a doctors RX it's an OTC vitamin, you can even get it at dollar tree.

I learned to copy and paste but can't make it clicky. Unless I'm sleep deprived it says so there.
