He made the choice to not be gay anymore

Durable Internet celebrity and noted Chick-fil-A fan Antoine "They raping everybody out here" Dodson "renounced" himself on Facebook last night, claiming he's "no longer into homosexuality." Why? "I want a wife and family, I want to multiply and raise and love my family that I create." Dodson added that the reason behind this particular life change is his decision to live as "the True Chosen Hebrew Israelite descendant of Judah." The Facebook messages were weird enough (and so seemingly at odds with, you know, everything Dodson has said in the past) that questions arose he'd been hacked. Not so, Dodson says: Apparently he means every word of it. [Source]

I fail to see the saddness in it. Why do you see it?

Cause you can't decide to not be gay. Any relationship would be a lie. Then add children to the mix with a marriage doomed to fail? Not good. Just be gay and proud.

I agree. Either his homosexuality was false in the first place, which is possible I suppose, or his straight life will be a horrible lie. He will never be happy and his wife and children will suffer for it. You can't live a lie forever.

My grandfather always knew he was gay. He decided he didn't want to be gay, got married, had four children. Turns out...he was gay. Divorced my grandma and caused a lot of hardships. He has been with his husband now for 22 years and happy.

I agree it would be devastating to those who lived the lie with him.........if it turns out it was a lie. But how do we really know it will end up that way for him? We dont. It could turn out this is truely what he wants. I honestly dont think either lifestyle, preference, choice, whatever one chooses to call it, is wrong.

I decided this morning that I am no longer human.  From this point forward I am a cat....

What?  That's in the same realm of possibility as "choosing" not to be gay.
