Do you love your husband more than your kids, and did you formula feed/supplement or exclusively breastfeed?

I have no idea what feeding has to do with who you love more, but I exclusively breastfed, weaned at 14 months, and I love my dh and children equally, but differently.

Breastfeeding forms a special bond between mother and child.

Why it has to be one more than the other ?

Sigh.

I nursed my first until he was 3.5.  I will nurse this next baby as long as he/she needs.

I adore my husband and child(ren) equally and differently.  There is no "more".

I started both my kids on the breast and then went to formula. I guess I can't vote. :(

I tried and tried to breastfeed my first for 5.5 months before I gave up and switched to formula. My second was breastfed for over a year (can't remember if it was 14 or 18 months). I love them both immensely, just differently. I love their father and am happy with him, but if I HAD to choose, I'd choose my children and that has nothing to do with how I fed them. It has to do with maternal instincts, having carried them in my body for 41w1d and 37w (respectively), chemicals, having to care for and nurture them differently than any other kind of relationship I've had... They are young and deserve every bit of love and energy and effort that I can afford them because they still have a lifetime ahead of them... They need me. My husband loves me, but he doesn't need me per say. Not really.
