Would you move your family to a not so safe area just to save money??Why or why not??

Right now we are living with a roommate.. The only way for us to afford living on our own is moving to a not so great part of town. We are considering moving because we dont want to have a roommate anymore and want it to be just us 4 again.

No. I would have safety over anything. Thats crazy to raise kids in a not so safe area in my opinion.

I would have to find a safe place I could afford. Safety is first.

I wouldn't unless there is additional info that changes the situation.

Maybe try downsizing on a home for a while in a safe area?

Depends.i don't think anywhere is 100% safe. A lot of people would consider my neighborhood unsafe, however i've lived here my whole life and always felt safe

No, I pay a lot to live where I do and cant imagine doing the opposite.

When we were house hunting my inlaws tried to talk us out of our home bc it was too expensive and I could spend half that in their area! Lol we finally had to just say we would never send our kids to the local school nor would we want to live, shop, dine in the area. You wont get shoot in the street or anything but I just cant imagine living there.

No, I wouldn't want to worry about safety, especially with kids.

No. There is nothing more important than my families safety
