How much money do you spend on looking good? Hair? Nails? Pedicure? Massages? Facials?

Just curious.

I used to spend $60 (including tips) for mani a month; $30 (including tip) on pedi a month; $20 a month on facial waxing a month; $75 a month on body waxing a month; $30 on lotions, etc a month; $25 a month on make up; $50 a month for massages; and $75 every six months for cut and color.

Now I color my own hair, get it cut for $20 or so every six months, trying to do mani/pedi myself (FAIL), and learning to pluck my brows. I look awful as a result. :(

I try to live frugally, so I get creative.

Nails are done myself (I'm a blogger, so I do tutorials on using polymer adornments for nails there)

Hair is cut once a year for around $25

I get dresses from handmade shops and boutiques, so it averages maybe $40 a month on clothes.

Some things like cleansers I get from my bestie who's a Mary Kay rep, but I also learned to make a lot of my own mineral makeup and lip balm, so it's a lot cheaper that way to make in bulk (and it gives me gifts for family members!).

I dont do any of that stuff really.

I get my hair cut every couple months. $10-20 depending on where I go.

Sometimes I paint my nails, but not often.

I think I've only had 2-3 pedicures ever.

1 prefessional massage as a gift. I like DH doing it better.

Never had a facial.

I think my hairdresser charges a lot for this area, but I've been going to him for many years so I just pay it. I'd say... maybe $300 a year. I don't get facials, manis, pedis, massages.

Thank you!  Shocking what you can learn when your income gets decimated, lol.

Not enough but I am thinking of getting my haircut. As it is, I spend about $50/mos on mani/pedis and probably about the same on makeup/hair stuff. I also get a massage weekly which is not about looking good but it doesn't hurt.

Nothing.

I just look good naturally.

LOL. I never said anyone who used make up was ugly or that anyone who doesn't is ugly. I personally never do not have any sort of beauty routine but I'm going to change it. Just a little extra pampering can make me feel not so blah.

LOL I spend maybe 24 bux a year on haircuts. 12 bux every 6 months. 6 1/2 bux for 24 eyebrow waxes (nads), and nobody touches my feet. I do my own nails (notebook hole stickers and bulletproof top coat). I don't get facials. If I want a full body massage my husband is happy to oblige and I wouldn't trade his big muscly hands for 45 minutes to and hour for any skinny sweed or chinese feet. I get a ton of exersize having four boys and them being in sports all the time that I don't need a gym. So i guess probably 50 bux a year.
