How much do you spend a month in daycare? Is it more for a new born?

My kids have never been in child care. But I take on a few familes a year for baby sitting/child care. Ive always charged a flat rate. Here for in home care it runs between 75-150 depending on what thye provider provides . In my house I usually charge a flat rate of 125-150 , but I provide all foods and provide many many activies and events. for instance we do the zoo, musuems ect. But Ive always charged just a flat rate.

But actual facilities here cost betwee 350 -1,000 a month so I guess it really depends on where you go and your area.

In my area a at home daycare is $25-30 a day. Babies are usually more than older kids.

My kids go to a center and it is $195 for a newborn per week. The fee for the two year olds is $145/week each with 10% off the oldest children for a family rate.

They least expensive place we found was $900 a month when our daughter was under one. We did not qualify for day care assistance and that was more than I made full time all month so we decided to live off hubbys full time income and I would stay home with her.

My DD goes 3 days a week for 5 hours and I pay $45 a week. She goes to the same Christian daycare I went to it could be a better set up and I trust the people and its cheap!
