What do you take to the beach to be more comfortable?

I know hat ,sunglasses and suntan lotion but I don't want to forget anything I might need and realize I should have brought :)Thanks

Towel, iPod, sunscreen, beach toys. But I'm a Floridian and dont need much to be ok at the beach.

We take towels, beach toys, hats, sunglasses, beach mats, and sunscreen.

towel, chair/umbrella.  Cooler with drinks and snacks.  book/tablet/ipod whatever.  bucket etc. for kids. forget suntan lotion... sunscreen.  chapstick if your lips tend to dry.

Towel, chair, pillow, blankets, beach toys, sunscreen, floaties for everyone, my pack and go the thing people sit under at sports games, food of course. I can't think of anything else ATM :)

This and wipes for hands, and a small bbq, and a baby powder for helping get rid of sand.

Flashlight if you or the kids plan to look for shells at night on the beach.

I just try to take money. So we can eat out before and after. I hate packing all that crap and eating sandwiches.
