My baby girl is just cramping and really do not know why

My baby is three weeks old and im breastfeeding .She has been just getting these cramps not sure if its wind or if i am eating something wrong cause she breaks wind fine afer each feed takes aBIT LONG TO COME OUT but comes out eventually. I have cut our caffine ,milk ,citrus fruits and cola. Does any one have this same prob or know what could be the prob .Hate seeing her cramp like that (sad face).

Colic usually starts in around this time...it could be what your'e eating too...anything artifically flavored, colored or preserved could be an irritant. have you tried any gripe water or gas drops?

She could just have immature digestion. Try infant mylicon, it has worked for us.

There could be various reasons why she is experiencing these kinds of things.

I would suggest joining the Breastfeeding Moms group. It's a great way to meet moms and get lots of help.

Does your milk spray out? Does she choke sometimes on it or let go when it starts spraying? 

Gas and discomfort is usually a sign of overactive letdown - nursing reclined with her over your nipple should help her.
