I wait until 101-102 to get worried .  Does the child have any other symptoms?

No. I was told at school she was not herself today, but i didn't notice anything out of the ordinary besides feeling her really warm.

Her teacher told me she wasn't herself today at school, and me being the paranoid parent felt her warm which made me think she had a fever.

Normal temp is 98.6, fever is anything over 100.
