Can a childcare center take your child off the premises without parental consent?

If its part of the contract i would assume so. If not i think that would be illegal.

I don't think it is but I will check again. They make a be deal out of being DCFS regulated so that's why I asked. During the "school year" (this is a pre-k/childcare center) they asked our permission whenever they had field trips. This week they went to the police station and the fire station and we didn't know about it until DS came home talking about it.
