Not straight subbing, no. But here is a website I use if I have to sub something. http://www.joyofbaking.com/IngredientSubstitution.html I guess according to this website you can.

There are tons of butter crust recipes. I hate shortening in crusts. Less flavorful and greasier rather than flaky.

Yes. Butter is better than shortening, IMO.

yes, just make sure your butter is ice cold

 This, and watch it carefully.  Butter burns more easily than Crisco.

If it's real butter not margarine. I do it all the time.
